It’s been eleven years since the first of The Hunger Games film series (adapted from a book franchise by Suzanne Collins) took the world by storm, and now the trailer for a prequel (also from a book by the same author) called The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes has dropped.
Taking place 64 years before the events of the first film, the prequel follows a young Coriolanus Snow, who is yet to be the evil force he has become in the series. Audiences will witness the events that turn him into the tyrannical leader of Panem, and the turbulent relationship he has with a Hunger Games tribute called Lucy Gray Baird during the 10th Hunger Games.
You may also hear a rendition of The Hanging Tree, sung by Jennifer Lawrence in one of the film adaptations.
