A while back, photos and videos of real-life Mario Kart clones taking to the busy streets of Tokyo did rounds on the internet.

For sure, they grabbed the attention of more than a few curious Nintendo fans – some of whom might have even put the activity down on their must-do lists for the future.

Sadly, the opportunity is no more.

Mari Mobility Development Inc., the company operating the attraction – formerly called MariCar, and now called Street Kart – will cease to function…
