Traffic Police Officer Arrested For Driving Against Traffic In JB

Background



The suspect is a traffic police officer stationed at the South Johor Bahru police district.

Ayob Khan said the case will be investigated under Section 42(1) and Section 45A of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.

If convicted under the first provision, the suspect could face up to five years’ jail, a RM15,000 fine, and five years’ driving licence suspension.
