You Can Get 2 Years’ Jail If You Attend Social Gatherings Amidst Restricted Movement Order
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that anyone found outside their home and at a social gathering during the restricted movement order can be jailed up to two years
In a Telegram message, the MOH announced that anyone who attends wedding ceremonies in the coming two weeks will breach the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and Police Act 1967.
“Many have asked if the public can attend wedding ceremonies, funerals, and so on,” the MOH said.
“The answer is NOT allowed. Because it is a social gathering.”
