And that’s not all! The group also released a 30-seconds teaser for “Dreamers”, giving fans a preview of the track as well as the first glimpse of the music video. The song is one for everyone who is on a journey to pursue their dreams, which resonates perfectly with the Digimon series.
Produced by Toei Animation back in 1999, the main opening theme for all episodes aired in Japan is “Butter-Fly” by Kōji Wada, which peaked at #47 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
The series was then rebooted in 2020, keeping in line with the vast growth of technology and staying relevant with the times. The plot is as follows:
In the year 2020, a series of cyber-attacks across Tokyo are the result of catastrophic events in another world within the internet, the Digital World, where creatures called Digimon roam. While getting ready for summer camp, Taichi Yagami and six other children are transported to the Digital World where they acquire Digivices and Digimon partners while learning that they have been chosen to stop an army of evil Digimon from reviving an ancient evil named Milleniumon. They are joined in their mission by Taichi’s sister Hikari and her partner Tailmon, who serves as their guide to where Millenniumon is to be revived.
So mark your calendars, guys!
