It may seem like an odd incident, but rest assured it’s real. Singer Dua Lipa is facing a lawsuit from a paparazzi when she uploaded a photo that was taken by a paparazzi without permission on Instagram.

According to court documents, the photo in question is one of Dua Lipa standing in an airport back in 2019 where she later shared on her Instagram. According to the documents, the photo was shared without permission and consent.
The photo is a photo of her, so why is she in hot water? Well, because the action is seen as using the photo for personal profit because Instagram is one of the marketing platforms for Dua Lipa.
I’m confused. A photographer can take a photo of a celebrity without their consent and make money on it. But said star can’t post the picture stolen from them without consent. Or they’ll be sued. That seems a messed up law, right? https://t.co/XTqrbbvdWC

The photo at this moment has been removed from Dua’s Instagram, but the paparazzi has requested for damages of as much as $150,000 (RM628,000) from the artist.
Fans of Dua Lipa on the other hand said that the paparazzi’s actions were cheeky as they did not have ethics by taking her photos without consent and using the content for personal profit.
