Remember that Jack Black comedy movie where he somehow ends up becoming a substitute teacher at a prestigious school? And then he hears these kids play music during music class (and they are pretty dang goodddddd) and so proceeds to bring them together as a new band to audition for the Battle of the Bands?
Sounds like a fever dream, huh? Then again, the same can be said about almost all Jack Black films.
Anyway, you probably noticed the hunky lead guitar (it’s kind of hard not to) who calls himself Spider. In case you’re wondering what happened to the guy who played him, he is now serving as the district attorney of Tyler County, Texas!!!
That’s a giant leap in a career path. His last role was way back in 2012 in a movie called ‘Slave’, directed by Jorgo Papavassiliou.
But Lucas has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law School, so these two sectors were bound to coincide.
Besides ‘The School of Rock’, Lucas has also appeared in worldwide advertisements for notable fashion brands like Gucci, Versace, Calvin Klein, Roberti Cavalli, Louis Vuitton, and the list goes on!
His television roles are also pretty extensive! If you are a fan of ‘Angel’ (a spin-off of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’), ‘Sex and the City’ and two of the ‘CSI’ franchise — ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ you would definitely have seen him.
We wish Lucas Babin a long and prosperous career in whatever field he chooses!
