Soooo recently, Rodrigo sent Kim Kardashian a promotional package for her album Sour, which Kardashian posted on her IG story.

“How cute is Olivia Rodrigo you guys?” Kardashian asked. “You guys know I love ‘Drivers License.'”

A note from Rodrigo can also be seen along with the gifts, which said,

“Thank you so much for supporting my music. It means the absolute world. I just adore you and I wanted to give you a few goodies to celebrate the release of my 1st album Sour. Sending you and your fam so much love.”

But this gesture did not sit well with fans of Taylor Swift. In fact, they were infuriated and flocked over to Rodrigo’s Instagram to leave hate comments and a flood of snake emojis.

In case you haven’t been following, Swift and Kardashian have beef with one another that has been going on for years. It began when Kardashian’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kanye West, interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, causing Swift a huge embarrassment.

This led to Swift writing a song called ‘Innocent’, a poignant ballad written for West.

The two seemed to have moved past the humiliating incident until West wrote a derogatory line about Swift in his song ‘Famous’ which he claimed he had asked for her permission beforehand. Swift, on the other hand, denied this statement.

This is when Kardashian wrote herself into the narrative, saying in an interview that Swift was aware of that line and she pretended like she didn’t to “play the victim again.” Kardashian even posted a video of Swift and West talking about the song on her Snapchat.

Swift then retaliated by saying,

“I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009,” she wrote.
