With the world watching yesterday’s high anticipated boxing match between professional boxer Floyd Mayweather and YouTube superstar Logan Paul, a knockout was clearly the expectation. Unfortunately for fans, it did not and those who purchased the pay-per-view event switch off their televisions feeling empty.
With the memes and short clips of the match circulating around the internet, fans have focused on one particular clip that shows what looks like the YouTuber actually getting knocked out momentarily by Mayweather.

From the clip, it seems like Mayweather hits Paul but then holds him up to prevent him from hitting the floor.
This clip has given room to conspiracy theorists to suggest that Mayweather may have put some money into the fight and attempted to influence the outcome. Even fixing the entire exhibition bout isn’t far-fetched, but realistically it would’ve been difficult to do in the heat of the moment.
Mayweather came into the fight weighing just 155 pounds (70kg) which is a big difference from the 190 pounds (86kg) that Paul weighed. Mayweather definitely packs enough power to knock out a heavyweight as a professional, but it would be difficult for him to catch Paul’s 30+ pounds of dead weight in the middle of a fight and keep him standing. And anyone who watched the fight clearly saw Paul leaning heavily on Mayweather throughout the entire tussle.
