More than just a few pictures on the wall, this Eminem stan has 28 different Eminem inspired tattoos inked onto her skin.

Recently, Nikki Patterson from Aberdeen, Scotland was recognised by The Guinness World Records for the achievement of having the ‘most tattoos of the same musician’. The 35-year-old, who works as a nail technician, has a total of 52 tattoos but of that, 28 are of the 47-year-old rapper. What’s more, 16 of the tattoos are portraits of Marshall Bruce Mathers III (Eminem’s real name). Speaking to BBC News, Patterson explained why she decided to make such a permanent decision.

“I heard Stan when I was 14 and had never heard anything like that before. It blew me away. People ask me ‘why Eminem’ but if you’re a fan you get it. His rhymes are so clever and so deep, he’s got me through the past 20 years. He’s been the one constant in my life, and I have seen him perform live.”

How exactly did she earn the record? During the lockdown, Patterson actually approached the record keepers and after going through their stringent inspection, she officially gained the title. However, the Guinness World Record that she holds is for 15 portraits of The Real Slim Shady – she has since added a 16th portrait.

Despite getting her first Eminem inspired tattoo at the age of 19, Patterson only recently started getting his portraits etched into her skin. With the help of three different artists – in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Chester – she’s got her idol tattoos on her arms, legs, chest and fingers.

“I never thought I’d get a portrait until I saw one and I thought I need that in my life. Even I am losing count.”

The nail technician has since spent thousands of pound on her tattoos, much to the chagrin of her husband and her son (who she wanted to name Marshall before her husband put his foot down. The family dog got the name instead). But now, she can say that she’s got something in common with Eminem – the “Rap God” holds the Guinness World Record ‘the most words in a hit single’ for the 2103 song he’s monikered after as he managed to rap over 1,560 words in just over six minutes, with an average of 4.28 words per second. After all, Patterson’s liking for the rapper isn’t unfounded.
