Disney+ recently announced the cast joining Ewan McGregor, as he is set to return as Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Fans of the trilogy would know, the 49-year-old actor will reprise his role as the legendary Jedi Master, who is of course a fan-favourite character of the new show. Obi-Wan Kenobi marks the return of Hayden Christensen’s portrayal of Darth Vader. The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The McGregor-led series have had rumours circulating for quite some time as speculations arise for the cast, and Disney has finally begun to lift the curtain on the highly-anticipated project. Casting and plot details have been slowly teased over the last few months and, though the series is still a ways away, production is expected to have already begun.
So, who will be joining these famous foes on screen? Per the streaming service, the cast includes Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
