Another day, another superhero/supervillain to beat!
With Marvel slated to expand its Cinematic Universe further – they do have 12 TV shows on hand – we’ve got news from the She-Hulk storyline!

The news follows the inclusion of a well-known face to the franchise, taking up the role of a new-to-the-MCU villain. That face is Jameela Jamil, English actress, radio presenter, model, writer and activist. Jameel is known for her role as Tahani Al-Jamil in the NBC fantasy comedy series The Good Place. The news initially found its way to the public after it was reported by The Illuminerdi, then picked up by ComicBook.com, and independently confirmed by Collider.
Now, the big question is: who will Jamil play? Well, none other than one of She Hulk’s biggest adversaries, Titania.

Who is Titania?
Mary MacPherran spent her younger years often overlooked and picked on while growing up in Colorado. Born premature, she was the smallest of her siblings and amongst her peers. An outcast, her only friend was Marsha Rosenberg, who was similarly unpopular. After a lie that Mary was Spider-Woman Julia Carpenter (as they both had red hair) came to light, the girls found themselves in a worse position than before. It was then that they came face to face with Doctor Doom, who offered to turn the girls into supervillains if they agreed to act as part of his army of baddies. Using highly advanced alien technologies, Doom gave Marsha a fiery form composed of ionized plasma leading her to become “Volcana” while MacPherran became the exact opposite of her human self. Instead of being small and scrawny, she was now taller and muscular, with an incredibly high level of superhuman strength and durability. Her mental state also changed – no more was she timid Mary as in her place was proud and confident Titania.
With She-Hulk however, fans will be getting a slightly different format from the already released Marvel series’ like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. She-Hulk will have 10 episodes, but each only a half-hour long.

Jamil joins the previously-announced cast consisting thus far of Tatiana Maslany in the titular role of Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk, Tim Roth in the reprised role of Emil Blonsky / Abomination from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, Ginger Gonzaga as Walters’ best friend, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Amelia, and Anais Almonte in a currently undisclosed role. She-Hulk is scheduled to debut on Disney+ in 2022 and will add to the excitement of Phase 4.
