NJWA has dropped the official music video for her latest single “Take Love Back.”

Directed by Nadirah Zakariya, the song tells the story of an interracial love and its conflict through their differences in race and religion- a harsh reality many interracial couples face in Malaysia.

The heartfelt MV is described as “A deep dive into what it feels, what it means to be wholly, wildly in interfaith, interracial love in Malaysia and how to fight for love, for the places and the people that are home, to belong to ourselves, to speak our truths, to be seen.”

The music video also features Sharifah Amani and Ng Choo Seong, from their famous roles in Yasmin Ahmad’s ‘Sepet’ movie,  a love story that forms between a Chinese boy and a Malay girl.
