Over 300,000 Residents In The Klang Valley Affected By Water Cut Due To River Pollution

In the statement earlier today, 4 October, Air Selangor said that water treatment plants in Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi had to be stopped operating after pollution was detected in Sungai Semenyih.

The river is the raw water source for these two plants.

“The cessation of operations for these plants will affect 273 areas, where 309,605 consumers will experience unscheduled water supply disruptions across four districts,” Air Selangor said.
