PARIS: Paris Olympics organisers said Tuesday that training for open water swimming in the River Seine had been cancelled due to pollution, raising questions over why triathletes were allowed to use the waterway the day before.
PARIS: Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo took the plunge today when she jumped into the River Seine in Paris to show the water was clean enough to host Olympic swimming events starting later this month.
According to LUAS, Indah Water Consortium are carrying out cleaning activities in the area."There is no halt on water treatment plant operations and no water disruption has been reported.
